A memorable evening in Vienna celebrating the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the strong international connections between Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Europe.
Our President, Rachel Mauer, had the opportunity to join the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra during its European Tour in Vienna. The evening began with a walk through the city center, including a visit to Stephansplatz, before continuing to the Wiener Konzerthaus.
The program included a special reception at the Konzerthaus, with welcome remarks from U.S. Ambassador to Austria Arthur Fisher and DCED Secretary Rick Siger.
The evening concluded with an outstanding performance by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Following an enthusiastic response from the audience, the orchestra returned for a well-deserved encore.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Pittsburgh’s international presence and the longstanding cultural and economic connections between Pennsylvania and Europe.
