Job Profil
Tasks of a Chemistry Lab Technician include:
- Conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses, using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical or chemical separation techniques, or microscopy.
- Conduct chemical or physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative
or quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, or gaseous materials. - Maintain, clean, or sterilize laboratory instruments or equipment. Inventory materials and supplies.
- Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Prepare chemical solutions for products or processes, following standardized formulas, or create
experimental formulas. - Set up chemical experiments, tests, and analyses, operating equipment including reactors,
pumps, etc. - Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses, identify any positive or negative trending
with the data collected. - Write technical reports or prepare graphs or charts to document experimental results.

Curriculum
he Chem Lab Apprentices will attend courses at the Bidwell Training Center that are integrated into the training at the employer.

Upon successful completion the Apprentice will receive the following industry-recognized credentials and certifications:
- Journeyworker Papers (Dept. of Labor & Industry)
- Chem Lab Technician Diploma from Bidwell Training Center
- OSHA 10 Certificate
- German Apprenticeship Certificate (DiHK) as Chemie LaborantIn
