A very special moment of the evening was celebrating the stars of the night: Our Apprentices during the graduation ceremony. It was truly an honor to have so many of them on stage during the graduation ceremony — our biggest graduation so far! 👏 Thank you all for being part of such a memorable night.

VIP Reception
The evening began with an exclusive VIP Reception, where sponsors, distinguished guests, and community leaders gathered before the main program to network and celebrate the continued success of the Annual Ice Gala.
The reception provided an opportunity for attendees to connect, recognize the invaluable support of our partners, and kick off an evening dedicated to celebrating German innovation, apprenticeship, and workforce development.
Award Presentation
One of the evening's most meaningful moments was the recognition of our newest apprenticeship graduates, who officially received their Journeyworker Certificates from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, as well as the internationally recognized DIHK German Apprenticeship Certificate.
This year's ceremony also marked a historic milestone as we celebrated the graduation of the nation's first EV Automotive Apprenticeship Cohort, recognizing these apprentices for helping shape the future of mobility.
This record-breaking graduating class included:
- 40 graduates — the largest apprenticeship graduating class in the program's history.
- Graduates representing the occupations of Mechatronics Technician, Polymer Process Technician, CAD/CAM Technical Designer, and EV Automotive Technician.
- Apprentices from four of our six educational partners.
- A new generation of highly skilled journeyworkers equipped with globally recognized credentials.
The success of this graduating class is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our apprentices, the commitment of our employer partners and educational institutions, and the continued strength of the German American Chamber of Commerce's apprenticeship program. We extend our sincere congratulations to all of our graduates and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in their industries and communities.

After Party
Following the Gala, attendees enjoyed music, dancing, and a variety of interactive activities inspired by this year's theme, "Back in Time to German Inventions."
Guests had the opportunity to participate in several German-inspired games, including:
- German Handball
- Bavarian Curling
- Dame (German Checkers)
- Mensch ärgere dich nicht (Germany's version of Sorry!)
The After Party provided the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening, bringing together members, sponsors, and guests to celebrate German culture, innovation, and the success of the 11th Annual Ice Gala.
